Durnans in Armagh

Postby kidnanrud » June 29th, 2011, 11:09 am

I don't personally know as I have not been to Ireland....yet. However, we have a friend that has a home here and one in Armagh and she says there are a number of Durnans in and around Armagh (for what its worth).

I also had heard tell of Armagh at first as well, but I'm finding more and more evidence that ours came from Fermanagh. Greg Durnan, Bill Durnan's son (Bill = Stephen and Bridget's youngest son), has been to Ireland and knows where the family came from. From what I understand, it's a place called Kesh, Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. There are some photos that came from Greg's niece Anne that I need to get put up here on the web from his trip over there. Greg will be up at the family reunion this year. He also lives in Arizona and if you put up your contact info, maybe Greg can get together with you down that way. I have yet to meet him personally, but I'm planning on meeting him for the first time here in a week or so!
